Inert Recycling Sussex

At Penfold Verrall, our modern inert recycling facility at Dial Post processes a wide range of materials, including soil, concrete, hardcore, and asphalt from construction and demolition sites across the South-East. Permitted to accept up to 75,000 tonnes of inert waste annually, we are proud to be at the forefront of inert recycling in Sussex.

Comprehensive Commercial Recycling Equipment

Our facility is equipped with an impressive range of commercial recycling equipment, enabling us to efficiently process large volumes of waste. Using our trommel and scalping screening plants, we are able to separate soil from hard materials, significantly reducing the amount of waste sent to landfill. In drier months, we further enhance recycling rates by using our 6mm screening decks to separate small stone from soil.

Site Clearance Services

For large-scale site clearance, we are fully equipped with breaker and pulveriser attachments for our excavators. This allows us to process significant quantities of concrete and hardcore, either preparing them for transport to our recycling facility or ready for on-site processing. In cases where on-site recycling is not feasible, our large fleet of tippers can efficiently clear the material and transport it to our facility, where we can screen and crush it for resale to the construction sector.

.

SCREENING capabilities

Mixed loads of soil with hardcore or concrete are easily managed through our advanced screening capabilities, utilising our scalping screeners and trommel screening plant to process these mixed materials. With varying sized screening decks and drums, we can screen materials down to as little as 6mm, depending on weather conditions.

.

CRUSHING SERVICES

Our 50-tonne crushing plant allows us to crush up to 300 tonnes of concrete per hour, making it ideal for both our own recycling needs and large-scale on-site crushing projects. This service is available for off-site projects, subject to the necessary permissions, ensuring maximum efficiency and minimal waste.

RECYCLED AGGREGATES

The end result of our recycling process is high-quality recycled aggregates. We currently produce 6F5 crushed concrete and Type 4 crushed asphalt, which are available for supply to clients throughout the South-East. These recycled aggregates offer a sustainable and cost-effective alternative to primary materials, contributing to a greener construction industry.
